For Surface Research: Create and paint a design for an optical illusion. I worked on two 2' x 2' birch wood boards. The tones in the board on the left are slightly darker than the one on the right. I was trying to reference a landscape in this piece at two different times of day. I think I could have made the difference more clear however, so it didn't look as much like I just couldn't match the colors. But this was a fun project overall :)
